Exclusive Varian Safety Seamless Graduated Plastic Flasks have a leakproof polyethylene (LDPE) construction with a chemical resistant natural PEF gasket. The two-piece polyethylene neck is lined with a color-coded polyethylene cap that cannot be punctured or removed and features a wide mouth design. The polyethylene offers excellent chemical resistance and chemical reversibility. Color fading or chemical shift is not a concern. This design makes the bottle widely accepted by users. This low Density polyethylene helps to reduce the absorption of certain solvents and solvated organic solvents. However, the polyethylene material absorbs some of the heat generated during distillation and therefore is not recommended for use with hot fluids.
