Whatman Grade No. 42 Quantitative Filter Paper, Ashless, 1442-150 is ideal for the preparatory steps in the Toxicity Testing and Analysis of Residues. Pre-weighed to insure consistency and eliminate batch-to-tank variability. Whatman Ashless No. 42 Quantitative Filter Paper is pure cellulose, containing no additives or chemical aids and is highly breathable. Whatman Grade No. 42 Quantitative Filter Paper No. 42 only burns during the oxidation process, and leaves no residue in the form of gases or liquids in the presence of undesirable bacteria, molds, or viruses. Whatman No. 42 Quantitative Filter Paper is highly recommended for the oxidation-reduction reactions of urines and feces. Whatman No. 42 Ashless Quantitative Filter Paper No. 42 is impervious to protein, nucleic acids, and other molecules in the presence of moisture. This feature allows the paper to be used for the filtration of large volumes through a standard-size microtube.
