VWR Spinbar Stir Bars Round F37111-5012

The Bel-Art VWR Spinbar Magnetic Stirring Bars offer better centering and smoother running characteristics than cylindrical bars. These stirring bars, with their smaller outside diameters, reduce friction and marring of plasticware. The pivot ring minimizes the contact area of the bar to the vessel, minimizing contact with the bottom of the vessel, reducing friction, and lessening the marring of plasticware (7.9x12mm and 7.9x19mm models have no pivot ring). Overlay on the top of the bar insulates it from static electricity generated inside the vessel, and a reduction in the number of places the stirring bar could catch and cause a stir.
