The Bel-Art VWR Spinbar Magnetic Stirring Bars offer better centering and smoother running characteristics than most cylindrical magnetic stirring bars. Pivot rings minimize the contact area of the bar to the vessel, reduces friction, and lessens marring of plastic containers (7.9x12mm and 7.9x19mm models have no pivot ring). Smooth running surfaces minimize edge banding and banding on larger bars. Floating rings at both ends of the bar add stability without adding swing. As with other Bel-Art products, quality control checks ensure that Bel-Art VWR Stirring Bars offer the consistency required for accurate temperature measurements.
