The cryogenic air divider, which functions much the same as a freeze dryer, is ideal for removing ice from water and other frozen samples. Efficiently cools and separates ice from water in freezers or from liquid nitrogen tanks in a matter of seconds, conserving the water in the packed ice until the moment it is required. The divider, which operates at a rate of approximately one degree Celsius per hour, retains the frozen nitrogen until the moment it is required and rapidly expands it upon evaporation. The expanded gasket on the divider effectively seals in liquid nitrogen to keep it in the freezer until the moment of use, when it can be removed easily by sliding it out of the freezer door. This design also allows the divider to be used for other frozen solid applications besides ice including gelatinous gelatin, fish bait, and vaccines. The divider, which functions as a separate container, can be placed in the freezer along with ice and water and then rapidly thawed as required. Easy to install; no training required.
