The stainless steel plunger of these tissue grinders has a pure PTFE head; the ground tissue comes out in a milky suspension. The tissue grinder has a borosilicate glass vessel with a constant fluid level. The tissue grinder is inert and non-contaminating with a standard clearance of 0.150.25mm. This one is just for PTFE tissue grinders, but it can also be used for other applications involving super hard materials. Its unfortunate that most grinders are not PTFE, but that isn't a big deal because most of the PTFE used in medical devices is for prosthetics such as pacemakers and pacemakers pads. We have also seen some unusual things with PTFE tissue grinders, such as etching or scratches on agar plates, but these problems have been resolved with modern PTFE, such as medical devices.
