Equilibrium PTFE/FDA Approved Crucibles - These PTFE/FDA Approved crucibles are designed specifically for use with FDA Approved PTFE vials and other boron containing liquids and gases (e.g., iodine solutions, which react with PTFE). Isostatically molded, pure FDA approved PTFE crucibles, they may be used in temperatures up to 270C (518F). The precision-tooled, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material, which they are made of, is chemically resistant and inert. They may be used in organic solvents and organic solvent vapor phase reactions, where they prevent sample etching and sample loss. The FL series crucibles have a wide selection of volume capacities and a number of practical application areas. Some of the more common uses include distillation or filtration with PTFE membrane filters. Other uses include mixing, storing, drying, storing and handling solutions, plating solutions, and dilute acid solutions. Other uses include non-corrosive distillation, ion exchange, spectroscopy, ultra-centrifuge, and ultra-violet counting.
