Maxi 20 Electrophoresis System Combs 2 Mm x 50 Tooth Comb The clear, plastic housing encloses an all-electropolished steel comb (with one short, single thick, and two short, single wide projections per comb) that are used in horizontal and vertical gels for the separation of proteins, nucleic acids, and other DNA or RNA molecules. The combs are color coded, and a specimen syringe is included. Additional components include two combs: one 2-mm wide, with two narrow (50-tooth) coils and one wide, 50-tooth coil. A supply of electrodes is provided, as well as a pair of combs, for the separation of nucleic acids or RNA molecules. The power source for both systems comes from a separate power supply, so there is no need for connection to a battery or ac adapter cord.
