Hydriode brix offers a double-junction check tube and a positive-displacement manometer. The dual-brix scale allows comparison of sample volumes without dilution. A reference line indicates the approximate brix or specific gravity of the sample. The reference line on the hydrometer is expressed as a hyphen between the two brix scales. All Brix ranges are demarcated by a dash line. The scale on the hydrometer is numbered according to the reference book so samples can be compared without undue stress. The double-junction brix orifice reduces evaporation loss and improves sample evacuation.
