This clip affixes the ground seal to a 50 mL screw-cap flask, providing leakproof performance. The double seal eliminates the possibility of sterility problems resulting from cross contamination between samples and/or cross contamination between solutions. It is commonly used in sterile chemistry and clinical laboratory settings to protect fragile cell culture surfaces from abrasion and to improve recovery. The low-friction material holds the flask and ground sealing surface together. Its molded form and chemical-resistant material prevent chemical and physical damage to delicate cell culture surfaces. It works in all standard lab environments and is excellent for molecular distillation applications requiring consistent sample temperatures. This clip attaches to a 50 mL screw cap flask using the polycarbonate/isolated ground seal design.
