This polyethylene and glass guard is designed to fit on virtually any size of round-bottom flasks, round-bottom glass jars, test tubes and cylinders. Cylinder is not included. The total occluded area minimizes heat transfer to the contents and the snug-fitting shape ensures that a label remains affixed to the jar or flask even when the jar is tilted at an angle. Manufactured without secondary substances such as rubber, silicone oil or heavy metal additives. Chemical resistance is only to the extent of reactive metals such as chromium, barium and antimony. Black color avoids direct contact with acids and strong base metals such as steel. May discolor with certain dyes.
