Cylinder guards help protect expensive glassware from breakage and chemical spills. Cylinder tops can be broken by hand or dropped with the force required to break the cylinder, typically causing an inward collapse of the top and possible breakage of the glass. Cylinder guards help prevent breakage of the cylindric. Cylinders can be difficult to open because of the dangerous sharp corners and edges of breakable glass. This series of Cylinder Guards is designed to fit on top of all standard test tubes and also on standard ground glass cylinders with a large base diameter. Cylinders with Plasticoid* bottoms can be cranked to provide a large volume of protection. Large ribs on the lower half of the cylinder help to crate a large volume of head space. Placed over an exposed bulb, the Polytitanium* top will absorb and transfer heat generated during boiling. Large molded feet allow the cylinder to be set on edge, facilitating easier opening and removal. Caps allow for dust control at the top. Small, clear spouts vent during aspiration. Product complies with EPA Substance Gen. Prot. (P.G.P.) regulations.
