This 20 well plastic comb is designed for use with 1.5 mm page thickness agast media using standard aliquoting techniques. The unique deep-well geometry has been found to produce one of the lowest particle generation rates of any paper comb on the market. The polyethylene plastic composition of the comb offers stiffness that meets the separation requirements of most binders, yet is soft enough to moisten if the comb is contaminated. This well comb has a molded, non-toxic, antistatic tweezers on one end, making it safe to handle and easy to orient in the page. The other end is secured by a rubber tether and well ring positioned to support the lid. The plastic comb has been found to be completely free of dust, chemicals, or debris. The lid has a small opening for the comb to fit through, and a small lip at the bottom of the well allowing access to the comb without losing the lid.
