The newest generation of these baths has a unique patented design which offers powerful capacity. The deep cylindrical shape paired with an asymmetric shape and large radiuses enable perkins to achieve maximum recovery with minimal recovery variation. Additionally, the perkins baths do not require a lid, and recovery is dependent on the speed of the pump. To ensure recovery, replace the lid gasket with the provided polyethylene plug. Polyethylene glycol absorbs water to prevent spoiling of samples. To control recovery, the control knob has been replaced with an all brass ball valve. To control recovery, a sensor detects the water and controls the heater, ensuring that the heaters are working. When time is up, the sensors automatically reset and the water bath returns to the pre-set temperature.
