Single-use 0.5 mL vials are amber-colored for avoiding visual contamination of test samples. Vials provide a positive displacement of media from the bottom of the vial. The unique design prevents the release of internal pressure that can develop during centrifugation. The maximum fill volume is controlled by the size of the associated ground glass stopper. Pressing the open/closed handle completely seals the vial to prevent any material release during centrifugation. The large opening and small size make it easier to perform sampling procedures. A polypropylene plug on the neck of the vial serves as a dust cover to keep media contamination to a minimum. Ordering Information: Packaged in double-sealed inner/outer shrink-banded polyethylene bottle with polyethylene stopper.
