Nalge Nunc Polypropylene Screw Closures NALGENE 712150-0240

These closures have a molded-in blue, polyethylene terephthalate (Teflon) plastisol coating. Closures provide excellent clarity, chemical resistance, and resistance to many acids and alkalis. They are easy to close with gloved hands and have enlarged outside diameters for excellent visualization. Large inside diameters provide excellent heat transference, increasing boiling point and minimizing boil-over. Large openings permit visual inspection of inside by use of a Bore-Tight Adapter, sold separately. Large size can also be compounded by heat-sealing or by autoclaving the closures after curing. The clave is easily removed by nail or crochet splicing. Large size is also excellent for closing beakers and test tube jars. These closures are widely used in the phlebotl industry, particularly in the phlebotle jars, beakers, and test tube jars to check for burns or to introduce a hydrogen ion into an external jar without introducing an air bubble.
