Complete with a red polyethylene plug. Use for mixing and storing solutions for digestion, decontamination, or other lab procedures requiring a clean container. Disposal is simple with a twist of the polyethylene plug and the resealable dust cover. The plug is secured in the off position by a means of an adhesive strip. It cannot be removed by twisting. A laboratory must remove and reseal after each use. For this reason, Nalge Nunc strongly recommends cleaning the container after each use with an appropriate Closure before sealing the container back to the supplier. Re-seal after each use is not recommended. The high quality of the polyethylene material used in Nalge Nunc closures ensures a clean working environment. It is also easy to recycle. Composting in an appropriate landfill is recommended for all containers. The polyethylene material can withstand many times the boiling temperature of many acids and bases, such as those used in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Many environmental and safety considerations must be taken into account when ordering.
