Fully flexible, these HDPE bottles provide the space and weight savings that high-vacuum, clean-in-place (HPE) bottling offers. The heat-resistant, fully transparent bottles remain color even after autoclaving. Hard-plastic bottles are great for applications where liquids must be kept frozen or solids need to be retained in the bottle. Hard-plastic and high-tack polyethylene (HDPE) are the most commonly used materials to manufacture bottling jars and bottles. Bottles are roto-molded, double-walled, and have a secure, leakproof gasket-free closure. Hdpe is recommended for the safe and clean storage of a wide variety of solvents and acids/carbohydrates. Bottles containing a liquid must be cooled to prevent crystallization.
