The XP Antistatic Kit is designed to fit all major brands of balances that are equipped with an XP NTPT port. This port provides antistatic performance for measurement in environments where contaminates in the air, dust or other airborne particulates could create an STI (Transient Stimulus Event), potentially reducing clean-up times and possibly eliminating clean-in-place (tie-in) of electronic scales. The antistatic strip simply needs to be placed under the balance platform, on the y-axis, as close to the body as possible. The strap lengths for the different models have been developed to be as close as possible to the body so that clothing does not get caught between the balance and clothing when a measurement is taken. All other components of the XP Kit are fully compatible with current Mettler Toledo balance models.
