The EZ-Clamp has a molded-in center support ring providing a firm anchorage point for glass slides. Its rounded interior radius produces a gentle fall-out edge to the walls of the tube, while the tangential cut provides flexibility. The mesh retainer keeps the slide firmly affixed to the wall when the clamp is tightened, but releases easily when the clamp is released. Ordering Information: Assembled with the clamp on the left side as shown in the top view on the left. Left hand instructions: Remove the clamp from the slide, then slide the orange retainer ring, (not the clamp ring itself), then slide the inner diameter of the retainer ring onto the inner surface of the inner ring, (not the clamp itself), then turn the inside diameter toward the sample or sample bottle. The retainer ring serves as a support to keep the slide in place. It does not serve to retain slides, since the slide will drop out of the opening into the retained position.
