Retaining Ring - 11.5" Id - Polycarbonate - MFG# 3981303 - Polycarbonate retainer rings, Polyethylene plasticas they are molded from a specialized high-impact copolymer, provide maximum durability and chemical resistance. The unique design eliminates needles, shims, and pliers, and holds the tipping point down and away from the aperture centerline. The sturdy construction of the ring includes rounded edges and rounded surfaces for comfortable use and easy removal by turning the tabbed inner end anywhere on the retention ring. A polyethylene plug with a sealing surface to prevent a liquid from leaking out in the event of fire or when the tubing is removed. Chemical compatibility allows use with most common solvents, including aliphatic alcohols, isopropyl alcohols, hexane, acetone, and acetonol. Environmental, safety, and operational requirements must be met before the retention ring will be approved. Approved to protect users and the environment, the retention ring is not leakproof, and pin holes allow withdrawal of a coiled piston without a tubing collar.
