Labconco Prefilter - 2' 3935700

The benchtop biosafety prefilter reduces the amount of air that enters the chamber from the blower by trapping dust and other nonhazardous particulates, greatly reducing the amount of air that is drawn across the membrane. The prefilter improves the optical clarity of the blower and decreases the amount of unabsorbed fluorocarbons (HPE) that is absorbed into the filter. It improves the recovery of dilutents and degradation of water and swine effluents from vacuum greases and saves the cost of replacing spent filters. The inline vacuum breaker prevents backscatter and assures reliable extraction of product from the blower. In case of backflow, the prefilter recirculates the air through the blower, minimizing cross contamination of inside air.
