These flexible duct connections are very durable and ensure a clean flow path for gases, oil, or vapours. If you work with any sort of powders or liquids in a lab environment, flexible ducts will be needed. You can be sure that all the duct work will fit snugly because of the special molding process involved. Before any duct work is installed, make sure the flexible hose is thoroughly clean. If glass is used, please make sure the surface is clean and dry after exposure to any contaminants. After installation, make sure the flexible duct is thoroughly cleaned with running water or a suitable solvent. If you are using a compressed gas, such as natural gas, these flexible ducts should be cleaned with absolute clean water or a suitable solvent. If you are using a vacuum pump, these flexible ducts should be cleaned with absolute clean water or a suitable chemical cleaning agent. If organic solvents are used, cleanup solvents used in the manufacturing process will be the responsibility of the user.
