This high-volume air intake blower efficiently circulates filtered air throughout the hood including the asymmetric air intake plenum. The hood is easily removed for cleaning by plugging the hood exhaust port into the blower housing body, then plugging the hood exhaust into the external fan. A dust-free duct system and damper on the exhaust duct can improve the hood's tensile strength. Explosive flammable gas such as chlorine, ammonia, kerosene, or nitric acid can cause the outgassing, but these hoods are constructed so well that they practically eliminate the possibility of outgassing in the first place. The Labconco 7181700 Extortionate Hood Blower is recommended for use with Hoods that have the hoods equipped with the PTFE coated hose and filter.
