PP sealable vials are manufactured from borosilicate glass, and have a unique double-seal system that creates a tight seal when the vial is evacuated. The two-piece manufacturing process eliminates secondary contamination that can arise from the use of silica gels, which leave light fingerprints when sanitized. Vials have a high level of optical clarity, and are designed for use in a variety of applications, including scientific research, teaching, forensics and industrial lab operations. The Vials have two levels of sealing wax, one octagon shaped bottom to allow for later filling with a cotton plug, and one cone shaped bottom to allow for a tight seal when capped. Vials have an autoclavable, high level, snap-on cap design. The Vial has a ground-in sealing surface that prevents air/liquid entry into the vial from exterior attack. The Vials have a BD (Diameter Shank) neck finish that provides a tight reliable seal when capped. Caution: The use of a glass vial with a septa not included in the delivery package may result in the need for special testing or validation procedures.
