The plug functions as a dust cover for an open centrifuge valve, a water trap for drying blood-ting areas, and a baster (mop) for capturing dry blood. The EVA foam is inserted into the open end of the plug to allow it to be easily pierced with a pin or needle. The plastic plug is then threaded into the end of an ETT (elbow\/pelvis) and the forceps the plug to expand.
